Born in China in 1968 the sum of money he grossed in 2008 was $2 billion dollars. Among the world’s wealthiest people as per Forbes report Jerry is positioned at 524th. He was just 2 years old when his father died. He moved to San Jose, California with his mother and brother. He graduated from Stanford University in the branch of Electrical Engineering.
He ventured in creating websites in collaboration with David Filo. Their site provides the directory listing of various websites. It is commonly known as Jerry’s Guide. This company later came to be known as yahoo in 1995. This became world famous and happens to be one of the extensively browsed website.
This company began as a web portal with a web directory of all products and services included. It also finds use in many different online activities. It went on to acclaim the credit of being the prime internet brands. This website also serves as junction where there is huge traffic flow on the internet
He married Akiko Yamazaki. She belonged to Costa Rica. She graduated from the same university as Jerry. They met in an overseas program conducted by the university in 1992.
His career in poker began in 2005. He played World Series Poker in 2007. Prior to this he won more than $ 200 at different resorts and casinos in Temecula. Preceding these wins he encountered cashes in the ultimate California (California casinos). Cisco, Asian pacific fund, Alibaba, and Yahoo Japan were the companies where he was one of the Board of Directors. He also held the position of trustee in the Stanford University.
Jerry accumulated more than eight million dollars as winning money in games. He played the game for pleasure and luck favored him to amass many victories. He was a simpleton and due to this he stumbled upon many criticisms. He made consensus with many laws which include the one created in 1989 by the United State congress for keeping out United States from the crime control with detection equipment or software to governmental extension in China.
